Pocket Guide “Expanding the Animal Cause” brings the transversalities of the animal cause in the environmental, health and social spheres
To encourage the inclusion of the animal cause on the public agenda, we launched the free Pocket Guide “Expanding the Animal Cause”, available digitally through this link . The publication was also launched in print during the Public Hearing “Sustainability in Food Consumption Production”, which took place on June 28th , as a result of the official program of the Sustainable Parliamentary Turn , when it was distributed to parliamentarians, advisors and entities present .
The institutional publication serves as guidance for all those interested in expanding their knowledge about the situation of animals used in livestock farming, and has chapters that discuss animal protection in the social context; the environmental relevance in the animal cause; the involvement of public health on the topic and important points for the construction of concrete actions.
“The Pocket Guide ‘Amplifying the Animal Cause’ contains, in a practical and accessible way, information and arguments based on scientific evidence that demonstrate the need for the implementation and regulation of animal welfare policies, especially for poultry, pigs and fish used in food production systems”, says Patrycia Sato, president of Alianima.
We at Alianima , an animal and environmental protection organization, work directly in actions that promote improvements in the living conditions of the billions of animals exploited by livestock farming, in addition to promoting the public interest in fairer and more responsible food systems.
